RenlimM has teamed up with the Rail Innovation Group and Liam Henderson to deliver an interactive workshop session at the Next Generation Rail event in Sheffield on 27th June.
What does the future of mobility look like? What does the rail industry need to do to prepare for this? We will explore this with the participants and work through the Innovation Pathway together, ensuring that the needs of both the passenger and operator are represented.
As key part of this will see RenlimM demonstrating our innovative approach to understanding and delivering change – in essence, the importance of understanding why you’re changing should always come before you decide how you’re going to do it.
This approach can be applied across the transport sector and beyond. It is a perfect way to ensure benefits remain traceable and genuine engagement at all levels in an organisation can be maintained.

RenlimM is delighted to have been invited by both the University of Birmingham and the University of Sheffield to speak to their students about our new and innovative ways to approach railway system design.
Using our experience in developing the new Operations and Maintenance Concept for TfL’s New Tube for London as the primary case study, the students are first asked to identify and then understand who their customer is. When that is established, they are walked through further examples of our projects which show how the customer should – and shouldn’t – be the primary factor in the design.
Finally, we explain two different ways to requirements capture processes within such large interconnected railway system programmes and help explain the benefits of the new approach we suggest.
